Dr. Jay Bosworth (he/him/his) is a New York State licensed Psychologist, providing individual and couples psychotherapy in-person in midtown Manhattan and across the state via telehealth He is trained in treating individuals with psychodynamic psychotherapy and in treating couples with Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Dr. Bosworth specializes in working with men, LGBTQIA+ community members, anxiety and depression, sexuality issues, identity issues,, life transitions, and relationship issues (including issues related to being single, dating, marriage, family planning, or being heartbroken).
Dr. Bosworth’s style is warm, direct, and collaborative; he strives to create a therapy space that is safe for you to share whatever may be on your mind, felt in your heart, or experienced in your body. Through slowing down, noticing and naming what is happening inside of yourself and within the room, and translating the current moment into something workable, working together may become a means to heal and grow to your fullest potential.
When not working, Dr. Bosworth is often reading books on psychology, philosophy, and classic literature, connecting to art through music and museums, finding local events happening around the city, or laughing with friends.
